Like many great products, our waxes were originally designed around the kitchen table. The old Anwander chemist shop was the laboratory as well as the production site for the first jars of “Antikwachs” – a formula developed for precious antiques and lacquers.
From those first precious jars of “Antikwachs”, the Anwander’s family passion for colours, lacquers and waxes stretches over three generations. The original formulas have been refined over the years. Originally only produced for the private use of Hans Anwander, grandfather and founder of the company, the Swiss factory today is dedicated to continuously improving the product range and developing new formulations in response to customer needs, environmental concerns and echnological changes.
